| Control of Insect Pests and Disease SeaWorld rarely uses pesticides in the Park. Instead we follow Integrated Pest Management practices. IPM incorporates sound horticultural knowledge, the use of beneficial insects, proper plant selection, and least toxic, most specific forms of pest control. At present, we are working with entomologists in the Department of Agriculture to introduce predators for such serious pests as the recently introduced giant white fly from tropical Mexico. |
